Terms.
These are draft terms for the early-access website and demonstrations. Operator identity, contact details, the final software licence and purchase terms are still to be completed. This preview does not take payment or create a subscription.
The website and early access
Friday Effects lets people explore a visual studio for 3D, animation and effects. The current website includes interactive demonstrations and a product preview. Features, compatibility and availability may change during development. Product screenshots illustrate the editor; screenshot controls on the homepage are not a live editing session.
The “Download for Mac” link currently leads to early-access information, not an installer. Displayed purchase options open a checkout preview, and no money is collected. A future purchase must clearly state the seller, total price, licence duration, renewal or cancellation conditions, system requirements, support and applicable consumer remedies before you agree.
Permitted use
You may browse the site, interact with its demonstrations and use any provided software according to its accompanying licence. Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, bypass access restrictions, upload malicious material, disrupt the service or access another person’s account without permission. Any account-based service will require you to protect your credentials and provide accurate registration information.
Your work and third-party materials
You retain the rights you hold in your original creative work. Nothing in these website terms transfers ownership of your projects to us. If hosting, sharing or AI processing is offered, the permissions needed for those specific actions must be disclosed when you use them.
Only upload or use models, music, fonts, images and other assets that you have the rights to use. Bundled and imported assets may have separate licences and attribution requirements, including assets obtained through Sketchfab. AI-assisted content may need checking for accuracy, suitability and third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing your final output.
Our materials and open source
The Friday Effects branding, site and software are protected by the rights of their respective owners. No rights are granted beyond the applicable licence and what the law allows. Open-source components retain their own licences. Our credits page identifies key components and assets used by this website.
Availability and compatibility
We may maintain, update or change the preview. Some features depend on compatible graphics hardware, browser support, operating systems or third-party services. Export settings describe output options, not a promise of real-time performance on every device. Keep your own backups of work used in development or early-access software.
Responsibility and consumer rights
The preview is provided for evaluation. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free output or fitness for every purpose. Any limits on liability remain subject to mandatory law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or removes statutory consumer rights, digital-content conformity remedies or withdrawal rights where they apply.
No blanket “no refunds” rule is created by this draft. Any paid offering will need its own clear purchase information and lawful cancellation and refund terms. See EU guidance on information before a purchase.
External services, changes and contact
External services have their own terms and are not guaranteed by this website. We may restrict abusive or unlawful access where proportionate and lawful. Material updates to binding terms will be communicated as required, without removing rights already acquired. Applicable mandatory protections in your country continue to apply.
The operator’s legal name, address, support contact and dispute-resolution information will be supplied before public launch or sales. The date above identifies this draft; it is not a completed commercial agreement.
